It's time for a new software platform

We love software, every part of it. Writing clean code feels great, but so does seeing users interact with your application. Software is magical because we can transform abstract thoughts into systems that touch millions of lives.

Yet, it's too difficult to experience the magic of software with tools that were built for the last decade: before AI, before today’s pace, and before cross-functional teams were a norm in tech.

Take GitHub. While considered a quintessential part of the software industry, it still centers everything on repositories with the rest of the software development lifecycle seemingly being an afterthought. This works fine for engineers who love authoring code, but our job does not start or end at a git commit:

Sure, you can add on another SaaS subscription to remedy some gaps. However, each new SaaS subscription comes with a separate login form and a new learning curve. Once you log into your fifth SaaS portal to complete a normal workday you think this can't be the end of it for modern software development. The status quo isn't even good for software engineers, it sucks for everyone.

We believe it’s time for a new kind of platform, one that is AI-native, multi-player by default, inter-disciplinary at its core, and focused on shipping good software, not writing code as the end goal.

Meet Obon

Obon is a single, integrated software platform that fights for one goal: helping your organization fully leverage the magical capabilities of software.

With Obon, writing code stays joyful, shipping is seamless, and running software becomes a team sport.

Software has changed. Are your tools keeping up?
